Ukmergė-based Norwegian sewing business goes bankrupt

The Ukmergė-based store is still operating, the other two in Vilnius and Kaunas have been shut down. Sewing business has been moved to other countries.

Director of Grosso Moda Lithuania Ala Guzova has said a decision to have a separate retail company was taken half a year ago. Textilite was established for that purpose, but the plans did not work out.

UAB Textilite employs 17 people.

“Sales dropped by around 70%. We lack funds to continue the operations,” Guzova explained to vz.lt.
